The 80m Counties Contest this year will be held tomorrow Monday the 3rd, the Bank Holiday. Rules in Echo Ireland and on the IRTS web site.
The provisional date for the next IRTS Committee Meeting is next Saturday 8th of January in Portlaoise. All affiliated Club reps are encouraged to attend.

Oliver is back again and will be QTV for the 80m Contest tomorrow and will also be active around family schedule during his stay. Of course for those of you that do not get a chance to work him during his stay this time, he is planning on returning in March for the WPX Contest.
Barney ZS6TQ is at present QRV from the Democratic Republic of the Congo using the call 9Q0HQ/6. Look for him on 40/20/15/10/6m. He plans to be there till 11th January and QSLs go via K3IRV.
For classical music lovers there is the chance to work a station commemorating the 200th anniversary of the birth of the composer Franz Liszt. The call HG200LST will be aired at various times during 2011 by a group of Hungarian amateurs.
Another special event station this time commemorating the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Brazilian scientist, inventor and radio pioneer Roberto Landell de Moura will be on during the month of January. The call to look for is PS150PLM and QSLs will be sent automatically via the bureau.
Francis F6BLP will be on holiday in Senegal from 8th to 21st January and will take the opportunity to get on the air as 6W7SK. QSLs go via the home call and also via Logbook of the World.
Eddy ON4AFU will be in Thailand for the next 3 months and will activate HS0ZJF. While there he hopes to do some island trips and operate as HS0ZJF/8 from IOTA AS-101 and as HS0ZJF/9 from IOTA AS-126.
