IRTS Radio News Bulletin Sunday 6th June 2010

Funeral of Paddy EI3AV

Due to a misunderstanding the information we carried on last week’s bulletin about the funeral arrangements for Paddy EI3AV were incorrect. As a result, Pierce EI4CI and his XYL Rhona and Gerry EI8CC and his XYL Anna travelled to Cloghjordan for the removal on Sunday evening. Unfortunately the removal was not until Monday. However, they did attend the wake which was taking place in the home of Paddy's sister in law Mary.

We apologise to anyone else who may have been inconvenienced by the misinformation in the radio news. There was a large attendance at the removal on Monday evening which included Terry EI4BK, Tony Ei2AW and Declan EI2GE. The Church was packed for the funeral Mass on Tuesday. The Priest obviously knew Paddy very well for he spoke of his gentleness and kindness, his wide ranging and in depth knowledge of many and varied subjects, his engineering skills and his technical competence.

The attendance included Eddie EI3FFB, Declan EI2GE, Pat EI4DC, Clifford EI5FQB and Seán EI7CD.
