Results:  80 Metres Counties Contest, 1st January 2024 @ 17:00z (1 hour)

Posted:  24th January 2024

The first Counties Contest of 2024 attracted 42 logs. Conditions were favourable for this contest. Well done to all of the winners of each section. SSB Low Power attracted far more entries than any of the other categories. The use of CW is low, it should be remembered that CW gives a good points advantage. I am going to suggest using assisted, this may attract more stations to CW.

I thank all stations for taking part, particularly the new licenses and I do accept all types of log formats, although it would make the results process easier if stations did use a Cabrillo format. In the counties contest, you can use contest logging programs such as SD, N1MM or DXLOG, and submit a Cabrillo File. If anyone needs assistance with this please do not hesitate to ask, I would be more than happy to help anyone with this. I am around at weekend of the IRTS AGM and can go through it then. I can also be contacted on 0876738356.

These contests are for your enjoyment, so any feedback is always welcome.
