IRTS Contest News Update

In the light of the current public health situation, we have made a number of changes to the arrangements for our contests. Firstly, in line with social distancing advice, until further notice contest entries will only be accepted from single-operator stations. Secondly, the Easter Monday 70cms and 2 metres contests and the June CW Field Day have been cancelled. An additional 80 metres Evening Counties Contest on 28th April has been added to the calendar. www.irts.ie/contests has the revised Contest Calendar for 2020.

The 80 metres Evening Counties Contest held last Tuesday was well supported, with good band conditions prevailing for most of the hour-long contest. More than 30 logs from this event have already been submitted. Even if you had only a few QSOs, Joe EI7GY the contest manager would like to receive your log, to assist in the cross-checking process. Logs should be sent to IRTS /dot/ Contests /at/ gmail.com
