Planning Permission – Antenna Installations
The subject of planning permission was raised at the AGM in April. A small group headed by Gerry EI8CC is currently compiling information about planning issues that members may have experienced in relation to their antenna installations.

South Dublin Radio Club
On Tuesday 4th July Cliona Harmey will talk about some projects and experiments she has worked on using software defined radio dongles (funcube, sdr dongles, Marine gadget) to engage with technologies such as AIS(shipping), ADSB (planes) and APT for NOAA weather satellite image reception. Cliona Harmey is an artist who works with technology, sculpture and DIY electronics .
The talk is free and open to all. It starts 9pm sharp while the club is open from 8.30pm at the Ballyroan Community Centre on the Marian Road in Rathfarnham. www.southdublinradioclub.ie
Don EI6IL in USA
Don EI6IL will operating holiday-style from Pennsylvania 22th June until 14th July. He plans to use 100 watts to wire antennas and his callsign will be W3/EI6IL
Special Event Radio Station from Royal Mint
GB4RME will operate from inside the Royal Mint in Llantrisant Wales. The special event station will operate from 30th July until 5th August 2017. More information available om www.bars.btil.com
5.7GHz Survey

DX News
A group of Belgian operators will sign OJ0V from Market Reef from 1st to 6th July. Market Reef is a separate DXCC entity and is located in the Baltic Sea between Finland and Sweden. QSLs will be handled by ON5TC.
Eric KV1J will operate from the St Pierre & Miquelon Islands as FP/KV1J from 4th to 18th July. He will use mainly SSB and RTTY. QSL to the home call.
Geoff ZL3GA will make another visit to Vanuatu in the Pacific from 6th to 13th July. He will sign YJ0GA and operate holiday style. Logs will be uploaded to Logbook of The World and also to Club Log.
A team of Russian amateurs will activate the Komandorskiye Islands starting in early July. The callsign will be RI0Z and the Islands on the Air reference is AS-039. QSL Manager is RZ5D.
