IRTS Contest Results

The results for the 2 metres Counties Contest held on 30th August, along with results for the annual SSB Field Day have now been published.

16 station logs were submitted for the 2 metres Counties Contest, which included QSOs from 24 of the 32 EI/GI counties. Among the section winners were newly-licensed Niall EI6HIB, who operated from Kippure, Co. Wicklow.

There were 6 entries for SSB Field Day, including two for the new restricted / 6 hour section. HF band conditions were very poor for the whole weekend, reflected in a total of just 3 QSOs on 10 metres and 150 QSOs on 15 metres from the 6 station logs submitted. See www.irts.ie/results for all contest results.

The next IRTS contest is the 80 metres Counties Contest, on New Year's Day 2016 - a great way to catch up with old friends around the country. A full calendar of IRTS contests in 2016 will be published in October.
