| 2 | Site: | ||||||||
| 2.1 | Each group intending to compete must send details of the site to be used to  or by post directly to the Contest Manager at QTHR.The site details should be communicated to the Contest Manager at least 10 days prior to the contest. However, a late entry may be accepted by telephone or email up to 24 hours prior to the contest at the discretion of the Contest Manager. |

| 2.2 | Details must include the name of the person responsible for the entry, section to be entered, name of group, callsign to be used, precise location of the station and sufficient access information for an inspector to be able to locate the site. | ||||||||
| 3 | Dates and times: | ||||||||
| 3.1 | From 15:00 UTC Saturday to 15:00 UTC Sunday on the first full weekend in June. | ||||||||
| 4 | Eligible entrants: | ||||||||
| 4.1 | Any group of paid-up IRTS members in EI. This is a multi-operator contest for portable stations. | ||||||||

| 5.1 | Open Section | ||||||||
| A maximum output power as generally permitted in EI. This is 26dBW at the time of drafting these rules. There is no restriction on the number, type, or height of antennas. | |||||||||
| 5.2 | Restricted Section | ||||||||
| One transceiver with a maximum output power of 100 watts PEP. There may be one antenna only, which must be a single element such as a dipole, vertical, long wire, etc., having not more than two elevated support points and not exceeding 35 feet (10.7m) above ground at its highest point. | |||||||||
| 5.3 | Additional standby equipment is allowed on site, but it must not be connected to any power source when the main equipment is in use. | ||||||||
| 5.4 | Buildings or man-made structures, other than those brought to, or constructed on, the site within 24 hours before the start of the contest for use during the contest, may not be used as antenna support points. | ||||||||
| 5.5 | The station must operate from the same site for the duration of the contest. | ||||||||
| 5.6 | The station must not be sited in any permanent or semi-permanent building. | ||||||||
| 5.7 | The station must not use the public mains supply. | ||||||||
| 5.8 | Power for all equipment may only be derived from a portable generator, or from solar cells, accumulators or batteries. Fixed generators are not permitted. Float charging, if any, must be from a portable generator. | ||||||||
| 5.9 | No equipment or antennas may be installed or erected on the site prior to 24 hours before the start of the contest. This does not apply to storage of equipment. | ||||||||
| 5.10 | The presence on site of any transceiver, amplifier or equipment capable of more than 26dBW will result in disqualification of the entry. | ||||||||
| 5.11 | All stations are subject to random inspection by representatives of the IRTS. It will be the inspector's brief to ensure that the rules and the spirit of the contest are being observed. Should the inspector be unable to locate the site due to inadequate or incorrect information, the entry will be disallowed. In the event of a last minute change of site, it will be the responsibility of the members of the group to make suitable arrangements for the inspector to find the new site. The inspector must be given immediate access to all parts of the site, with the right to stay as long as desired and the ability to return at any time during the contest. The inspector may also visit before the contest to check compliance with Rule 5.9. |

| Each DXCC country worked on each band gives one multiplier. The final score is the points total multiplied by the multiplier total. | |||||||||
| 7.2 | Points must not be claimed for contacts made by a competing station with members of its own group. | ||||||||
| 8 | Entries: | ||||||||
| 8.1 | Entries are to be made in accordance with General Rule 5, together with the following notes and exceptions. | ||||||||
| 8.2 | In accordance with General Rule 2, duplicate contacts must be marked as such without claim for points. Unmarked duplicates will be penalised at ten times the claimed score and logs containing in excess of 5 may be disqualified. | ||||||||
| 8.3 | Entries, which must be received by the Contest Manager not more than 30 days after the event, should be sent to Entries being sent by post should be sent directly to the Contest Manager at QTHR. |

| 9 | Awards: | ||||||||
| 9.1 | The Pete Daly Cup is awarded to the station with the highest checked score in the Open section. | ||||||||
| 9.2 | The Paddy Smyth Cup is awarded to the station with the highest checked score in the Restricted section. |
